Masyu puzzle rules
Draw one loop through every pearl. Turn on dark pearls. Go straight through light pearls, then turn beside them.
One rule at a time
- Connect neighboring cell centers with horizontal or vertical lines. Make one closed loop, with no branches or crossings, passing through every pearl.
- Turn at each dark pearl. On both sides of that turn, keep going straight through the next cell before turning again.
- Go straight through each light pearl. Turn in at least one of the two neighboring cells along the loop. Turning on both sides is also allowed.
A useful first deduction
At a dark pearl, draw an L and extend both arms through one more cell. At a light pearl, draw a straight segment and place a turn immediately before or after it.
Mark a board
Tap an edge to cycle line → cross → clear. Arrow keys move; L draws a line, X marks a cross, Backspace clears.
Use the buttons below the board to mark its selected cell or connection. Undo removes your last move. Restart clears only the board you are playing, after confirmation.
When a board is finished
The game checks one connected loop, no branches, every pearl visited and both pearl rules. A conflict message points out a rule that cannot be satisfied. Completing the board opens the next puzzle action.
Hints and daily puzzles
A hint points to one forced move and explains the deduction. Apply it only when you are ready. If your marks leave no valid completion, undo an uncertain move first. Daily boards use a separate original set and stay fixed for the UTC day. Return to a past saved daily board until you choose today’s board.
